Both these photos are landscape photos. What I like about them is they give off a sense of silence. Since there is no one there, and it is just a place, it is landscape. There is no one there to distract you from the photo.
08/09/17- Composition Through My Lens

The first photo in this slideshow is an example of good composition. It applies the rule of thirds and there is nothing in the background to distract the eye. The second photo has bad composition because the person is in the center of the photo.
08/11/17- Applying the Rule Of Thirds

The picture is not in the exact center, nor is it on a 3x3 grid.

The picture now has "breathing space." It is not in the center anymore.

I added the grid to prove it has the rule of thirds. The focus point is on my face and my hand.

08/23/17- Digital Editing GIF

My assignment consisted of making a GIF. I had to understand how to use photoshop. To make this, I had to duplicate the photo so there were four. Then, I used a filter gallery and put a different setting on each picture. I feel this GIF conveys energy compared to the before picture. I have seen a GIF online.
08/24/17- My Name- Alphabet Photography

The trunk 0f this tree forms the "V" in my name. It is used for decoration in front of the ASB.
These branches on the bushes form the letter "A" in my name. They are outside the library.
This tree root makes the "L" in my name. It was also found outside the ASB.

09/14/17- Camera Frames

This photo is extreme long shot. It shows little detail of the subject and shows the landscape around it.

This is long shot because it shows the subject from "head-to-toe."

This is medium shot because it is from the "waist" of the basketball hoop and up.

This photo is medium close up because it starts at the "shoulders" or "chest" of the basketball hoop and above.

This is close up because it shows the hoop from "chin to forehead."

Lastly, this is extreme close up. It is zoomed in closely to the hoop.
These frames could be shown in film to convey emotions. For example, if a photo is extreme close up, it shows the character's facial expression. You can also tell their emotions from their eyes.
10/10/17- Camera Angles

This image is bird's eye view because it is above the subject. I have seen this type of angle in movies that include planes or helicopters.

This image includes a high view because it is not directly above the subject, but is about 1:00. I have seen this type in superhero movies.

This image is eye level with the subject. I have seen this in movies or shows when people talk to one another or are in front of the camera.

This is canded because it is tilted. It is used in horror movies.

This image is low view because it is from below. I've seen it been used in movies when introducing villains.

This is worm's eye view because it is lower than the low view. It is used in movies when the subject is small.
10/18/17- Shutter Speed

This image of the toy was taken at 1/1000 shutter speed of a second. It looks still, or frozen, because it is at a faster shutter speed.

This image of the toy is at 1/250 shutter speed. The camera captured a little bit of motion because of the slower shutter speed.

The image of this toy was taken at 1/60. It looks blurry, but captures the speed of the toy. You can know how fast it is going due to the look and feel of it.
10/25/17- Aperture

This image has an aperture of f/36. This is because the background is not blurry and the lens is small which lets less light into it.

This image has an aperture of f/11. The background is more blurry than f/36 but less than f/5.6.

This image has an aperture of f/5.6. The shutter speed is fast and there is more light in the camera.
10/30/17- ISO

The ISO for this photo is underexposed. This is because the picture is dark, and I used a fast shutter speed which did not allow a lot of light to come in. I used an ISO of 800.

The ISO for this photo is a medium amount of exposure. It is not too bright, nor too dark. I used an ISO of 1600.
